Britain's Got Talent return date confirmed
Simon Cowell is back on the panel!
After being axed in 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, fans will be thrilled to know popular entertainment show Britain's Got Talent is back bigger than ever this year, and now bosses have confirmed the start date!
When is Britain's Got Talent on?
ITV bosses have announced Britain's Got Talent will return to our screens on Saturday 16th April!
Taking to social media to post a video of hosts Ant and Dec revealing the exciting news, bosses wrote: 'You're going to want to hear this... #BGT IS BACK ON SATURDAY THE 16th APRIL! 🥳
'Join us on @ITV and @WeAreSTV1 where our search for talent begins ⭐️'. (sic)
As well as Ant and Dec returning to host the show for series 15, it was confirmed earlier this year that Simon Cowell will be back on the judging panel, after being forced to miss the last series following an electric bike accident which left him needing surgery.
Simon was replaced by former winner, Diversity leader Ashley Banjo, but he's back for 2022.
The music mogul will sit alongside usual judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
And it sounds like fans are over the moon for the return of BGT, one wrote: 'YESSSS THANK YOUUU ❤️❤️❤️❤️', with another commenting: 'Yessssssssssssss ❤️ I love it soooo much I’ve missed it a lot'.
A third wrote: 'YES!!!!! BRING IT ON!! 🔥🔥🔥'.
The 2020 series, which was aired in two parts due to the pandemic, saw comedic pianist Jon Courtenay win the show, receiving more public votes than sign-language choir Sign Along With Us.
