It may only feel like the BRIT Awards 2019 were a couple of weeks ago, but this year is going super fast - and we're already looking forward to the next one. The organisers of the awards have today revealed the brand new design for the 2020 awards, which will be the 40th anniversary of the show, if you can believe that.

Revealing that the date of next year's ceremony will be Tuesday 18th February 2020, the show will once again be broadcast live on television, as well as sharing pictures of the incredible trophy.

Official info from the event organisers adds that there will be less awards presented on the night and more music performances, with artists having more creative control than ever before over their slot.

Chairman of The BRITs Committee for 2020 and Chairman and CEO of Universal Music UK David Joseph said, "We have had a fresh look at the BRIT Awards this year. Most importantly we will be putting creativity, British culture and exceptional performances at the heart of the show to make BRITs night a world class celebration.

"The awards should be a global platform for the artists of the year to create moments that live beyond the night itself. We are looking at everything to put on the best possible show."
