Filming has started for Bridgerton series 2 🙌

The cast have confirmed the news!

It's already made Netflix history with over 82 million people binge-watching series 1, so there's no surprise excitement is building ahead of series 2 of period drama Bridgerton.

Starring the likes of Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor, Netflix confirmed Bridgerton had been renewed in January and now the cast have confirmed filming has started with some behind-the-scenes snaps.

Actor Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton in the drama, shared a number of images from series 1 alongside Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), telling his Instagram followers, 'The boys are back in town 🎵 #THROWBACK #SEASON1'. (Sic)

Unexpectedly, Bridgerton fans were quick to comment on Luke's post, with many expressing their excitement.

One user wrote, 'YES YES YES YES YES', with another writing, 'I'm so excited for season 2 OMG OMG'. A third then wrote, 'They were totally filming today! 😄'. (sic)

The show, which is based on Julia Quinn's Bridgerton novels, is reportedly due for release around Christmas time, after series 1 became a massive success when it dropped on Christmas Day 2020.

Series 1 of the show followers Phoebe Dynevor's character Daphne Bridgerton enter high society alongside The Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), with series 2 expected to follow Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), look for a suitable woman to marry.
