What do we know about the album 'I Am'?

Tom's second album is called 'I Am' and was released on 20th September 2024, it includes his songs 'Burn', and 'Freaking Out'. Last year, when he announced his album, Tom told his fans on Instagram: 'The time has finally arrived. After 4 years of writing & recording, I am so bloody proud to announce that my BRAND NEW ALBUM "I AM" is coming out next year.

'I can't tell you the amount of time, passion and energy I have poured into making this record. I won't lie, at times it hasn't been easy, I've ripped up and binned more than an album's worth of material to get to this point. But I can confidently say I've never believed in the music I am making more than I do now. I am absolutely in love with these songs and the production that backs them up. To celebrate this record, I'm hitting the road in April 2024 for my biggest tour to date across the UK and Ireland.'

He also shared a clip from his title track with the lyrics: 'I'm a son to my mother, a husband, a brother, a silly heart, a dreamer, I am an underachiever / I am certain of the uncertainties around me, made up of boxes and boundaries / Just an anxious soul trying to get back home. I am a late sleeper, crafting songs in a bedroom until 4am.

'Rip it all up just to start again . I am blessed to have love from my family. Lucky to have friends who make me smile every mile that we walk together / Barry's together. I am madly in love with the woman I adore / Keeps me calm like the sound of the waves hitting shore, as she sweeps me off my feet in an abundance of happiness and joy / She washes over me. When she's close I can always sleep, only with her I am me.'

What has Tom said about his album?

He also said in a press release: "'I Am' is a culmination of me trying to figure out who I am for the last four years. This record is a snapshot of what's been going on in my life, and what's been happening around me – what's made me happy or sad, ecstatic or miserable."
