Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys could be reuniting for a joint tour
Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean revealed there have been talks in a recent interview.
Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls could be reuniting for a tour.
According to the 37-year-old singer the idea has been "bouncing around for the past year and a half" and they are still talking about it.
The prospect of a Spice Girls reunion has been on the cards for a while with Mel B hinting earlier this year that she would love the girls to reunite for the 20th anniversary of 'Wannabe'.
Talking to American TV host Jimmy Fallon in August she said, "I want us to get back together, I think we should, it's been 20 years, it's about time."
The last time the Spice Girls reunited was for a one-off performance at the London 2012 Olympics.

The Backstreet Boys on the other hand, despite being known mostly for their 90s hits, 'Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)' and 'I Want It That Way' have continued to release songs up until 2013.

This year they will be returning to the studio to record some new music with producer Jay Cash who wrote Maroon 5's top 10 hit 'Sugar'.

While A.J. didn't reveal any further details of the collaboration the Backstreet Boys are no stranger to joint tours having teamed up with fellow 90s boyband New Kids On The Block in 2011/12 for the NKOTBSB Tour.
