To celebrate the release of his third solo album 'The Show', Niall Horan joined a listening party in America to reveal more about his latest album.

After performing the lead single from his album 'Heaven', Niall opened up about the song, revealing he thought it would be the lead single after he wrote it. He also told fans that after spending time in Joshua Tree National Park, where he wrote 'Meltdown' and 'Heaven' he: "Knew we were very close if not, nearly done (with the album)."

Continuing in the Q&A session, Niall was asked how his latest offering differs from his previous album, 'Flicker' and 'Heartbreak Weather', to which he replied: "I think it's just been a natural progression from one to the next.

"When I wrote my first album I was 22 or 23 probably. I think things change, life changes, you grow up, your influences change a little bit, you want to be more experimental."

Niall co-wrote all of the songs on 'The Show' and continued: "I think it's probably just the most experiential album, really. Even the ballads have a little bit more about them. I'm trying to navigate to the next (album), meandering my way through."

In another interview for an American radio station, Niall also opened up about the production that went into creating the album, he told host Elvis Duran: "I make sure we do the real deal (orchestra)... full quartets and stuff like that you can beef up afterwards, but I try and do everything as live as I possibly can."

'The Show' is out now and before the album's release, Niall told us about the strangest place he's written a song. Speaking to Sam Thompson on Hits UK, Niall said: "In a dream!"

He went on to say: "I do that quite a lot, where I like wake up in the middle of the night, you know, and I wake up at the end of a dream, and I'll just make a voice note. I remember there was a song on my last album called 'Arms Of A Stranger', I wrote the whole second verse in a dream, and woke up! I just wrote it down."

If releasing a new album wasn't enough, Niall has also announced dates for his 2024 tour. Tickets are now on sale for 'The Show Live On Tour' and you can buy them now from Aloud.com.

Niall's album 'The Show' is out now and you can hear songs by Niall on MFR.
