Following the sad news that singer Michael Bublé pulled out of hosting the BRIT Awards to care for his sick son, it has been announced that Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis will now present the show.
The official BRIT Awards website confirmed the news, it said:
"We are delighted to confirm that Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis will be co-hosting The BRITs 2017! Individually they are two of the most respected and experienced presenters on TV and this unique pairing is exclusive to The BRIT Awards. Their appointment follows the sad news that Michael Bublé is not able to present this years’ awards".
The BRIT Awards also passed on their well wishes to Michael after it was revealed his three-year-old son Noah was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2016.
Speaking about his new appointment, The X Factor presenter wanted to send his 'thoughts and prayers' to Michael and his family. He said, “Firstly, my immediate thoughts and prayers are with Michael and his family at such a difficult time. Michael is an effortless show man, so those patent shoes will not be easy to fill, but it's an honour to be asked to step in with Emma to host the BRITs. The BRITs is an iconic show that I've watched and attended many times. It's a holy grail for a broadcaster, and I'm really looking forward to working with Emma, who I'm a big fan of, and celebrating a brilliant year of British music."
The show takes place on Wednesday 22nd February with some huge artists nominated for a prestigious BRIT Award.
Already confirmed to perform at The O2 in London include BRITs Icon winner Robbie Williams, as well as Little Mix, The 1975 and Emeli Sandé.
More big names are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
