With Halloween out of the way, the next big festival to look forward to is Christmas, and of course we'll be getting in the mood soon with it all of the Christmas songs on MFR. Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey has now 'officially' started the countdown to Christmas, after showing off some very impressive Halloween fancy dress costumes.

The singer, whose song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', became a huge hit when it was released in 1994, and continues to be belted out each Christmas season, has now shared a video of transitioning from Halloween to Christmas, starting the countdown to the big day.

Posting the video on Instagram, Mariah wrote: 'IT’S TIME!!!! ⏱️🎉🎄'.

The black and white eerie video shows Mariah doing the Tango dressed as Morticia Addams, before her wardrobe opens to display a Santa suit. The video then turns to colour as Mariah sits in a sleigh, with her iconic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' playing out.

Fans were quick to comment on the video expressing their excitement for Christmas. One wrote: 'It’s tiiiiimeeeeeee ❤️❤️❤️', with another writing: 'A little masterpiece ❤️🎄😍'. A third wrote: 'Omg this is so good!!! 🎄'.

Mariah Carey is known for a number of hit songs, such as 'Hero', 'Honey' and 'Fantasy'. In recent years Mariah has also teamed up with the likes of Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson on 'Oh Santa!', and her song 'Fantasy' was sampled on Latto's 'Big Energy' (remix) in 2022, turning it into a huge hit once again.
