Well done girls! ❤️

Little Mix girls Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and former member Jesy Nelson have made history tonight (Tuesday 11th May), as they picked up a BRIT Award in the British Group category.

The girls, who attended the prestigious ceremony with both Perrie and Leigh-Anne showing off their baby bumps, became the first ever girl group to win the award, thanking girl bands such as Girls Aloud, Spice Girls and All Saints in their emotional winner's speech, as well as former member Jesy Nelson who quit the band in 2020.

Admitting they pre-prepped a thank you speech just in case due to two of them having 'baby brains', the girls said: "OMG guys, we have just made history! In the hopes that we would win, we've wrote a little speech. Two of us have baby brain so we had to write it down. We have been together for ten years, it's been the best years of our lives, we have gone through so much, had so much fun, made so many beautiful memories. We want to start by thanking our incredible fans, of course Jesy and our incredible team.

Jade continued: "It's not easy being a female in the UK pop industry. We've seen the white male dominance, misogyny, sexism and lack of diversity. We're proud of how we've stuck together, stood our ground, surrounded ourselves with strong women and now using our voices more than ever.

"The fact that a girlband has never won this award speaks volumes, this award isn't just for us, it's for the Spice Girls, Sugababes, All Saints, Girls Aloud, and all of the incredible female bands this is for you!"
