LISTEN AGAIN: Anne Marie says she's no longer the "angry, bitter ex-girlfriend"
Anne Marie is back with her new single Birthday and it's a bit different from what we're used to.
Joining Callum Gallacher on his evening show, she told him that the sound of her music isn't that different, but it's a totally different subject:
"It was very different for me, because usually I'm a very angry, bitter ex girlfriend and I'm writing songs about that, so this ones like a fun, happy birthday song."
The Rockabye singer also told Callum about her second album, confessing that she keeps putting it off as she keeps writing more music.
"It's good though, because I thought we had the album finished, and then I wrote Birthday"
And the longer the album is put off, the more positive the songs on it might be "I was the ratchetist girl in the first version of the album" she jokes, "and then I kind of realised that I need to not be like that, and then I wrote this one, the actual one."
Ratchet* or not. We can't wait to hear it.
