Emeli Sande Leads MOBOs
Plan B and Rita Ora also get multiple nominations
Emeli Sandé and Plan B lead this year’s MOBO Awards shortlist with five nominations each.
Capping off a sensational 2012 for Emeli – a year that has seen her score the biggest selling album with ‘Our Version Of Events’ - the Scottish songstress is up for Best UK Female, Best R&B/Soul, Best Video for ‘My Kind Of Love’, Best Song for ‘Next To Me’ and Best Album.
Rapper, actor and director Plan B (real name Ben Drew) will battle it out in the Best UK Male, Best Hip-Hop/Grime, Best Song, Best Video and Best Album categories.
Rita Ora and Labrinth have both picked up four nominations while other big names in the mix include Ed Sheeran, Professor Green, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Rebecca Ferguson and Misha B.
The winners will be announced at the Liverpool Echo Arena ceremony on Saturday 3rd November.
