Ed Sheeran is very well-known for being a multi-award winning singer, with hits like 'The A Team', 'Shivers', and his latest song 'Eyes Closed', he also has a Disney+ documentary coming in May, along with his sixth album 'Subtract'.

But could he be up for doing a reality TV show? Speaking to Jonathan Ross on The Jonathan Ross Show, for his only UK TV interview performing his new song, Ed revealed he 'liked' the idea of I'm a Celeb.

When discussing with the other guests on the show which reality TV shows they've been asked to go on, the 'Celestial' singer explained: "The one I would do is probably I’m A Celebrity... it looks quite fun. Genuinely. It looks fun. If I had time off, you go in a jungle with a bunch of people you sort of know..."

Rumours are already rife with who could be signed up for the next I'm a Celeb series, after the 'all stars' series called I'm a Celeb: South Africa takes place later this year. In recent days, former Prime Minister Liz Truss has been tipped to appear in the series, with the odds of 25/1 already in place for her to appear on the show, so could Ed be the next one?

It sounds unlikely as he explained: "I’m not going to do it... I do like the idea of it."

Away from reality TV, Ed also opened up to Jonathan about dealing with the grief of losing his best friend Jamal Edwards - something which is touched on in the trailer for his documentary, Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All.

Ed, who spoke to his friend just a few hours before he died, said: "The day he passed away we were meant to be shooting a music video. 31 (he was when he died)."

He continued: "Grief is a very solitary thing, you think you’re the only one going through it, but obviously lots of people understand stuff. I felt after Jamal’s death everyone rallies around people and then after a week it kind of goes and you’re meant to get back to normal life. Grief is something you live with… it has to be something you embrace in a way.

"I’ve got amazing memories of him that make me happy but also sad at the same time."

Ed Sheeran appears on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday 1st April at 9.40pm on ITV1 and ITVX and STV Player.
