Superstar DJ Calvin Harris and Sam Smith have finally dropped their music video for 'Promises' and it's VERY glam! Full of glitz and glamour, in contrast to the grimy warehouse where it's filmed, the video shows a warehouse-turned-nightclub, with Sam Smith accompanied by loads of very glamourous backing dancers.
Announcing the release of his new video, Calvin Harris took to Instagram saying, 'Promises video is out now link in bio! @samsmithworld @emilnava'.
The DJ, who is known for his many collaborations over the years, once again teamed up with video director Emil Nava, who has worked on many previous videos, including 'Summer', 'I Need Your Love' and the incredibly popular 'One Kiss' with Dua Lipa.
Calvin Harris took to his socials to announce the new collab a few weeks ago, posting a photo of the Japanese inspired artwork showing the song title to be 'Promises' with the caption, 'CALVIN HARRIS // SAM SMITH // very excited about this one !!! @samsmithworld coming Friday presave link in bio'.
In a recent interview, Sam Smith revealed how the new collaboration came about saying he, "Hit up Calvin on Instagram". He went on to say that they, "Had an amazing day together writing the song".
'Promises' is Calvin's follow-up to his collaboration with Dua Lipa, 'One Kiss', which was released back in April. The song enjoyed a number of weeks at the top spot, giving Calvin his ninth Number 1 and Dua's second Number 1.
