Queen of Dance collabs Becky Hill has revealed some more details about her super-cute engagement to boyfriend Charlie, which she announced on social media in January 2022. ❤️

In a recent interview, Becky admitted: "I should have known when he took me to a ring shop, but I didn't!" She then went on to reveal a back story about how she spent a bit of money on some sapphires in Sri Lanka on a holiday with Charlie, but they then split up. While on a break when she wrote 'Wish You Well' and 'Better Off Without You' she decided to make them into a couple of rings.

The couple got back together and when on holiday in the Maldives she wanted to look at some jewellery, so they popped to a ring shop. Looking at the rings Charlie started to haggle, but it turned out the ring was for him!

However, he had a surprise in store, as Becky revealed to us: "We went to some little desert island, and it was all just a little bit weird, because we were shooting content for the resort weirdly. They were getting us to run down the beach and they'd drawn like a heart in the sand and they were like, can you guys lie in the heart and do a heart with your hands!"

Becky then told how he popped the question saying: "Out of his bag, he pulled a ring and he got down on one knee and I told him to shut up a couple of times and burst into tears! It couldn't have been more Becky and Charlie if it had tried."

Becky also told us about her new song with dance duo Galantis. Becky confirmed the song was actually written with long-time friend and songwriter MNEK! The pair have worked on a number of songs together, including, her debut hit with Oliver Helden's 'Gecko (Overdrive)', and her collab with Sigala, 'Heaven on My Mind'.

MNEK

Becky explained how she'd heard a song by Galantis, but wanted to "write to the instrumental."

"They gave me the instrumental', Becky explained. "I went in with long-time friend MNEK, who I've been writing with for 10 years!"

The BRIT Award winner went on to explain how she had a voice note with the chorus which she gave to MNEK, and he turned it into a hit! "What I love about Uzo (MNEK), I will say a sentence that can't fit into a melody and he will turn it into a sentence you can sing!

"So, big love to him and I'm really happy and proud of this song, I'm excited that it's out!"

Becky also revealed we could be looking at a new collab with none other than 'Head & Heart' DJ Joel Corry! After some photos surfaced of the pair working together, we asked when we could get the new music and although Becky couldn't give us a date, she said: "Hopefully this year!"

Becky is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and the 'Remember' singer has been announced for Birmingham Pride 2022, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The theme will be 25 years of Pride and Protest. Birmingham Pride told us: "It recognises and reflects on the advances made in terms of equality achievements, whilst continuing our fight against injustice, prejudice and inequality that continues to affect LGBTQ+ people at home and across the world."
