Adele has been wowing her fans at her Las Vegas residency called Weekends With Adele. Over the years she has been doing her residency she had a few emotional moments, such as meeting Beatles legend Paul McCartney, and paying tribute to a fan's late wife. Now the singer has shared a hugely emotional moment with Canadian singer Celine Dion.

Over the weekend, Celine surprised Adele by attending her residency, and when Adele spotted the iconic singer, she couldn't resist going over to her seat and giving her an emotional hug.

Weekends With Adele takes place at the Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace, which is a venue originally built for Celine Dion's 2003 debut residency, and in a heartfelt tribute to the 'Think Twice' singer, Adele took to social media, writing: 'I have been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. 4 weeks to go!

'It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her. I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!!

'@celinedion I love you so very very much. Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family. I have loved being there it has been such an honor and Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever. Such a full circle moment for me to be there with you. Thank you so much ♥️'.

Adele's Instagram post has now been liked more than three million times and more than 23K comments have been left by fans of both artists, including many celebrities.

Hits Radio Live performer Rita Ora wrote: 'I’m not crying… you are. 👏👏👏❤️', while Pixie Lott said: '❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️', and Gabrielle commented: '🥹 ❤️'.

A fan wrote: 'one thing i love about both of you is your humanity and humility…i am so proud to say that you are my idols in music and in life❤️', with another commenting: 'What a MOMENT!!! 🙌😍 Both of you are my favorites 4ever & ever!! 🤩🤩🥰🥰'. (sic)

Adele has just as one more month of her Las Vegas residency left before she starts her hiatus. While performing in Germany earlier this year, Adele told her fans that she would be having a break from music after her residency finishes. The singer said: "I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now. I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly."

Explaining she still has some Las Vegas shows left, she then said: "But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break."
