It's all over for another year! The BRIT Awards 2020 with MasterCard took place at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday 18th February, with the likes of Mabel, Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy and Dave all picking up awards at the ceremony hosted by Jack Whitehall.

As the celebs find a place in their mansions for their new awards and shake off their hangovers, here's everything you need to know about the prestigious BRIT Awards 2020.

Who won a BRIT Award in 2020?

Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi was the biggest winner at The BRIT Awards 2020, picking up two awards on the night! Mabel, Stormzy, Dave, Billie Eilish and Foals were also successful on the night.

The 40th BRIT Awards took place on Tuesday 18th February 2020.

They were once again held at The 02 Arena in London, the same place since 2011.

Who presented The BRIT Awards 2020?

Jack Whitehall hosted the BRIT Awards for the third year in a row.

Speaking about hosting the gig again, Jack said, "I'm delighted to be back hosting the BRITs for a third time! I'm excited for another night of trying not to put my foot in it in front of the biggest names in the music industry."

The BRIT Awards tribute to Caroline Flack

Following the tragic news that TV presenter Caroline Flack had sadly passed away on Saturday 15th February, BRITs host Jack Whitehall paid a touching tribute to Caroline at the 2020 BRIT Awards.

He said, "A member of The Brits family Caroline Flack tragically passed away. She was a kind and vibrant person with an infectious sense of fun. She will be sorely missed. I’m sure I speak for everyone her when I say our thoughts are with her friends and family.”

Who was nominated for a BRIT Award in 2020?

The nominations for the 2020 BRIT Awards were announced during The BRITs Are Coming show on Saturday 11th January. Lewis Capaldi and Dave led the way with four nominations each, followed by Stormzy and Mabel who were all up for three each.

Who performed at The BRIT Awards 2020?

The 2020 BRIT Awards were amazing! This year’s BRIT nominees Lewis Capaldi, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Mabel, Stormzy, and previously announced BRIT Award winner Celeste all performed during the ceremony.

As well as these amazing performers, in early February, it was announced that American singer Lizzo and British rapper Dave would also be performing, and they certainly didn't disappoint!

Whilst Mabel opened the show, Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi and Celeste all gave emotional performances, before Billie Eilish performed her brand new James Bond single 'No Time To Die' for the first time.

Lizzo then took to the stage, giving an incredible up beat medley of some of her biggest hits, before rappers Dave and Stormzy spoke about real issues in their performances.

Music legend Rod Stewart closed the show, alongside his friend Ronnie Wood.

Former One Direction star Liam Payne , Mabel, Aitch, Freya Ridings and Dermot Kennedy all performed during the nominations show, The BRITs Are Coming.

Who won the BRITs Rising Star Award 2020?

The Rising Star Award, previously known as the Critics' Choice, has been awarded this year to singer Celeste.

Of her win, Celeste said, "It’s a huge honour to be the recipient of the BRITs Rising Star Award 2020. Like many others, I grew up watching the BRITs and have been continually inspired by its nominees, winners and the performances. I hope to make the most of this incredible opportunity and I can’t wait to perform on the BRITS next year."
