Check out the Mean Girls cast now and then:

THEN: Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron)

Lindsay Lohan was just an 18-year-old when she played the lead role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls, but she was no stranger to the big screen thanks to roles in Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap.

The actress become a huge star at a young age, playing roles in films like The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday.

Fast-forward to now and a lot has changed for Lindsay. After spending some time in rehab, Linsday decided to open a bar on the lovely island of Mykonos in Greece and recently released a single called Xanax.

Rachel McAdams was the ultimate Mean Girl when she portrayed the role of Regina George, which is still iconic to this day.

Following her success in the movie, Rachel's career catapulted, starring in hit films such as The Notebook, The Vow and About Time. Of course, most recently, Jonathan made an appearance in Ariana Grande's epic music video for 'thank you, next', where he played his character Aaron.

THEN: Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian)

We will literally never forget Janis Ian's speech in Mean Girls for as long as we live!

NOW: Lizzy Caplan

Although the actress had a lot of experience before appearing in Mean Girls, the movie certainly helped her land major roles. She's since starred in the likes of Cloverfield and True Blood, and she even picked up an Emmy nomination: she was very, very good in Masters Of Sex.

THEN: Daniel Franzese (Damian)

"She doesn't even go here!" will forever be painted on our hearts thanks to the AMAZING Daniel Franzese (Damian).

In one of the biggest transformations from the entire Mean Girls cast, Daniel looks completely unrecognisable!

The actor has played a number of minor roles, but he's now also a stand-up comedian!

Amy Poehler's (Mrs George) love of pink, mocktails and dancing along with her daughter's performance still gives us serious vibes to this day.

As well as releasing a book in 2014, Amy appeared in a number of hit movies including Blades of Glory, Sisters and Inside out.

Kris Jenner even recreated Amy's iconic Mean Girls character in Ariana Grande's video for 'thank you, next'.

Kevin G, the ultimate Mathlete and living legend.

NOW: Rajiv Surendra

Since his role in Mean Girls, Rajiv has changed his career. He's now a professional artist and calligrapher!

NOW: Neil Flynn

After playing the role of Cady's dad, Neil starred in American sitcom The Middle between 2009-2018.

THEN: Tim Meadows (Mr. Duvall)

Tim Meadows, or should be say Mr. Duvall, played the principal at North Shore High School. But like fellow co-star Tina Fey, he wasn't your average teacher.

NOW: Tim Meadows

Following on from his role, Tim went on to star in a number of much-loved TV series, including Bob's Burgers, The Goldbergs, and movie Grown Ups.

THEN: Ana Gasteyer (Cady's mum)

She didn't have the biggest role in the movie, but SNL star Ana Gasteyer's facial expressions will live with us forever.

NOW: Ana Gasteyer

Following her stint as Cady's mum in Mean Girls, Ana went on to land roles in a number of TV shows and movies, including The Goldbergs and last year's Wine Country, with Tina and Amy.

Since its release way back in 2004, Mean Girls has gained a massive fan base, grossing over $130 million worldwide and creating some ICONIC lines.

Although the movie's sequel, Mean Girls 2, which was made for TV didn't take off, in 2018 Mean Girls The Musical opened in Broadway. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the show is currently on hold, with the last production taking place in March 2020.

Mean Girls will be available to stream on Netflix from Monday 1st February.
