Yes, you read that right! Not only are we being treated to a full-length, live-action remake of Disney's The Little Mermaid, but there's another version on the way too. Although the film version - starring Halle Bailey as Ariel - is set to be released in 2020, there's going to be ANOTHER version that'll be coming out much sooner.

American TV network ABC were previously planning to work on a live concert version of The Little Mermaid, but it's now being worked on as part of their Wonderful World of Disney collection.

Announcing the news on Twitter, ABC revealed that Moana star Auli'i Cravalho would be playing Ariel, and that 'It Wasn't Me' star Shaggy would be playing Sebastian. Now that we've GOT to see!

US legendary singer and actress Queen Latifah also announced that she's been cast as the villain Ursula, sharing an incredible photo on Instagram of herself in Ursula costume with the caption, '"Fortunately I know a little magic." 😘 Excited to be a part of The Wonderful World of Disney Presents The Little Mermaid Live! #Ursula #TheLittleMermaid #TeamSeaWitch.'

The show will be performed in front of a live studio audience and will air on 5th November 2019. There will be music from both the original 1989 film as well as the adapted Broadway musical.

Although those three are the only cast announcements that have been made so far - with ABC promising to make more announcements soon - Shaggy did hashtag the name of Marvel actor Sebastian Stan in his post about the show... So could this mean that he'll be playing a part? OR could it just be a reference to his character, Sebastian?
