Have photos been released of the film?

Director Todd Phillips has previously shared several photos from the film. The first photo shows the Joker (played by Joaquin Phoenix) in a prison cell, followed by one of Harley Quinn looking at the Joker with his iconic makeup.

Todd captioned his post: 'Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a beautiful new year. Oct 2024 #Joker2', reconfirming the previously announced release date.

After Todd posted the photos many fans took to the comments, with one writing: 'Thank you so much, can’t wait for the trailer!', and another saying: 'This is gonna be the best film of 2024, you made my dreams come true with casting my favorite artists as my favorite character.' (sic)

Lady Gaga was first announced to be involved with the film in 2022, when she shared one of the first teasers, with just the name and release date serving as the caption.

Just eight months later, in April 2023, the 'Rain On Me' singer told fans: 'That’s a wrap ❤️‍🔥 🎬🃏 X, Harleen', posting a photo of herself as Harley Quinn.

However, despite filming wrapping over a year ago, we'll still have to wait a little bit longer to see it on the big screen, with a release date in October 2024!

It's fair to say that Lady Gaga is no stranger to the acting game, taking leading roles in huge films such as A Star Is Born and House of Gucci, so it will be great to see her in another huge film.

Lady Gaga will star alongside the original film's star Joaquin Phoenix. When the film Joker was released in 2019, it changed what a comic book movie could be with its darker psychological themes, and it looks like director Todd Phillips will continue to subvert our expectations in the sequel.

Who does Lady Gaga play in Joker 2?

Lady Gaga plays Harley Quinn in the film, in February 2023 she revealed a first look of the character by just posting a photo with the name of the film.
