As Christmas films go, Home Alone is up there with the classics, even being crowned the best Christmas film in the UK this year! And now as the big day approaches some genius video editors have put together a parody film trailer for 'Home Alone 3', which has fans calling for an official sequel.

The 2.5 minute 'trailer' cleverly uses 'existing content, adding voiceovers, effects work, and heavy editing', to create what many are calling an 'instant hit', revealing they would go to the cinema to watch it.

The 'trailer' for Home Alone 3: Kevin’s Revenge shows the film set in the present day, years after the Wet Bandits were put in prison. They have now been released, and the 'trailer' starts with adult Kevin opening the front door to find a card with a photo of the troublesome duo, which reads: 'We’re back little buddy'.

Later in the 'trailer', Kevin is then seen to be setting up some new booby traps in an effort to catch the Wet Bandits again.

The 'trailer' was uploaded to YouTube earlier this month and now has more than 2.9 million views on the platform, with thousands of comments calling for the film to be made.

One fan wrote: 'This NEEDS to happen.🙏🏽😌', with another saying: 'If Home alone 3 Is made it will definitely sell at least 500 millions or more. Everyone between 25-40 years old will love to see a sequel.'

As fans will know, the iconic film was originally released in 1990, starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, and is about a family in New York who go away for Christmas, inadvertently leaving their son Kevin behind. 🙈

Several sequels were also made, including Home Alone 2: Lost in New York in 1992, all the way up to the television film Home Sweet Home Alone in 2021. However, the only sequel to star Macaulay as Kevin, was Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Despite the long time that has passed since Macaulay played Kevin, he did briefly reprise his iconic role back in 2018 for a Google advert, which saw the actor recreating one of the film's iconic scenes.

And in 2021 the famous house was even revealed to be available to book on Airbnb!
