After years of speculation, the hugely-antipcated Hocus Pocus 2 dropped on streaming service Disney+ last Friday (30th September), and the movie certainly hasn't disappointed excited fans.

Featuring three original Sanderson sisters, played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi, the second instalment returns to Salem with a follow-up story to the original 1993 movie.

As movie fans will know, a lot of sequels or remakes can be totally ruined by producers changing the look and feel, or even changing the story completely. But with Hocus Pocus 2, fans have praised the movie's creators for sticking to its original roots.

With many already binging the movie more than once since its release last week, fans have taken to social media to leave a review, with many expressing their love for the nostalgic feel the movie brings.

One wrote: 'Just finished watching Hocus Pocus 2 and I really enjoyed it, it had its funny moments and it was very nostalgic'. (sic)

Another commented: 'Hocus Pocus 2 was so nostalgic and I got teary eyed a few times 🥹 I think they did a great job with the sequel', with a third writing: 'I just finished Hocus Pocus 2 and OMG, it was worth the 29 years I had to wait! Such a good sequel. Some iconic and nostalgic and things.' (sic)

A fourth added: 'Hocus Pocus 2 was so much fun! I don't understand any negative reviews. As someone that has been nostalgic for the original, I am pleased with the final product. I think they captured what made it magical for my generation while creating a new journey for future generations.' (sic)
