10 things that ALWAYS happen on a bank holiday
See how many of these you spot...
May is the month of two bank holidays, which means an extra long weekend for those who lucky ones amongst us. While we're all hoping for good weather, the British weather is unlikely to be kind to us this weekend. Here are 10 things that always seem to happen to us on a bank holiday, from going on a shopping spree, to getting confused over what day of the week it is, to meeting up with friends...
Here are 10 things that ALWAYS happen on a bank holiday
1. Complaining about the ads in the film we're watching even though we have it on DVD
Even when it's half way through, we still watch it. There's something about reaching for the remote, it's so far!
2. The shopping stampede
Supermarkets, clothes shops or anywhere really, nowhere is safe on a bank holiday weekend. Save yourself! Don't forget that the shops might not be open as long as usual.
3. Car boot sales
Forget shopping online, get yourself down to a good old car boot sale. It's a chance to get rid of all that stuff you don't need and buy even more stuff you don't need, of course!
4. Time in the pub
Whether it's for a meal with the family, or drinks with friends, there's nothing better than being in the pub on a weekday.
5. Hungover people
It's like an episode of The Walking Dead! Don't let that be you after the long weekend.
6. Reunions
It's 2pm on a weekday and we're all hanging out. Best day ever. Time to start arranging a meet up with your friends.
7. People will forget what day it is
Is it Friday? Monday? Saturday? Where am I?! It might just be one more day off work, but it really confuses us!
8. Terrible TV
There's nothing good on TV, but we'll sit and watch it anyway. Of course, if the weather is nice we'll be out enjoying it.
9. Taking a road trip
No bank holiday is complete without a road trip (even if it is just to see one of our relatives).
10. Feeling restless
We always complain about how much we need a day off to relax, but then at the same time we want to throw as much excitement into the day! What shall we do?
How many of these can you relate to?
