Fans have seriously MIXED reviews of Zendaya's new Madame Tussauds waxwork
The waxwork was unveiled on 11th February in London
Zendaya has been making her mark on the showbiz world in recent years with some incredible roles on the big screen including Spider-Man, Dune and The Greatest Showman, and she is now the latest celeb to be added to Madame Tussauds waxwork collection in London.
The 25-year-old's waxwork figure will be displayed in London alongside a collection of star-studded figures, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Angelina Jolie.
The waxwork has been made using measurements and references from a sitting the Euphoria star did in 2015, and the results have been met with some pretty mixed reviews by fans.
One commented: 'Oh god… redo it🤦🏻♀️ that is NOT zendaya and out of ALL outfits', with another adding: 'Im sorry but thats no zendeya 😂😂'. (sic)
Another then wrote: 'Jesus!!!… is that the best you could do???… 😳😳😳😱'. (sic)
However, others thought the waxwork did actually look like the star, but many were not happy with the choice of outfit.
One wrote: 'The likeness is great but of all her amazing outfits you made her look like a teenager at a job fair?'. (sic)
Another added: 'Am I crazy for thinking it’s not that bad', with another commenting: 'amazing work, could have done a different outfit tho😩'. (sic)
The life-like figure was unveiled on 11th February and you'll be able to see the Zendaya waxwork in the Award Party zone in the museum, where she is wearing a neon pink suit.
Tim Water, the general manager at Madame Tussauds in London, spoke about adding Zendaya to their waxwork line-up. He said: "Zendaya just exudes cool. Not only that, she uses her celebrity status to join conversations, thoughtfully, on important social issues. She is unapologetically herself – and we, along with her fans, love that about her."
He also spoke about having the real-life Zendaya close-by in London: "With rumours circulating that Zendaya is soon to become a Londoner herself, the timing to pay homage to her at Madame Tussauds London could not be better.
"We know her fans will be lining up for the chance to ‘meet’ their idol when Zendaya’s figure arrives in our Awards Party zone."
