Westlife's Kian Egan has been talking to us ahead of the release of his new album, 'Home'. He shot to fame in the late nineties as part of the Irish boy band, Westlife as they opened for Boyzone and Backstreet Boys gigs in Dublin in 1998.

Since the band split Kian has been working on TV including taking part in 'The Voice of Ireland' as a coach and 'I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!'.

Earlier this year Kian signed to Rhino Records of Warner Music Group and has now realised his debut solo album 'Home'. The title track is his first song from the album and a cover of American rock band Daughtry song from 2007.

We caught up with Kian to talk about his album in which he duets with his wife, singer and actress Jodi Albert, best known for her role as Debbie Dean in Hollyoaks. We asked him if he enjoyed working with his wife.

Kian is a father of one so we asked him whether he would like more kids.

Kian was young when Westlife were at their height of fame, so we asked him what he thought of the One Direction boys who are in a similar situation to him in the late nineties. Are they giving up too much too young?

Lastly Kian talks about being in the boy band bubble.
