Wanye Rooney makes public apology for drink driving scandal

After a turbulent year, Everton and former England footballer Wayne Rooney has broken his silence, admitting he made a 'stupid mistake'.
After being arrested and later charged with drink driving, Wayne was given a two year driving ban and is currently doing community service at a garden centre.
As well as this, the dad-of-three was accused of 'cheating' on his pregnant wife Coleen Rooney after being spotted in the car with a woman called Laura Simpson.
Wayne has now discussed the matter for the first time during an interview with TALKSPORT,** where he **admitted he's held his hands up to his 'mistake'.
He said, "Sometimes you make mistakes. I held my hands up. I made a mistake. I knew straight away I had made a stupid mistake and I have to move on.
"It is not nice. I’ve got children and it is not nice for them to see that and I try to move on and learn from it which I feel I am doing."
Wayne's words come after his wife Coleen broke her silence on the stressful time last month. Taking to her Facebook page to upload a lengthy message, Coleen revealed she's put her wedding ring back on and praised Wayne for being a great dad.
She wrote, ''No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he's never left. Yes, it has been a s--- time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end. There’s been so many stories in the press, so many sources chipping in, so called friends having their say and a few well-known names giving their opinion.
She then added, "Wayne doesn't get portrayed for the person he is in the press, he has always had a hard time. I’m not going to list his good qualities as a person as I don't think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad. He's made silly and selfish mistakes, some he's learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change?"
Taking to Twitter, Coleen wrote, 'So Happy!!! ..... Never denied the news, but I was always protecting it!! Had scan & all checks are fine.....Baby number 4 is on its way. 😍'
The new arrival will be Coleen and Wayne's fourth child together, they already share three boys, Kai, seven, Klay, four, and Kit, one.
