The film will be released on the 17th December.
The latest and final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released and sent fans into a bit of a frenzy!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh film in the franchise and the first of the sequel trilogy. Starring many of the original cast Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill reprise their iconic roles along with relative newcomers, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
The trailer doesn't reveal much about the plot, but shows Daisy as 'Rey' the lead role in the film who many believe to be the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia.
Author of The Maze Runner series James Dashnertook to Twitter earlier today saying:
There has been much speculation as to why Luke Skywalker doesn't feature in the trailer, or the posters and James expressed his views on Twitter saying:
However he along with most of the franchise's fans loved the trailer.
If the trailer is anything to go by the film will be set to engage another generation in the epic Star Wars films.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been written and directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Mission: Impossible III) and will be released in the UK on the 17th December 2015 one day ahead of the US who will get it on the 18th December.
