We're now just a few weeks away from the Dancing On Ice final, and head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean revealed some exciting news for fans in last night's show.
The show's presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby teased a special announcement, which was later revealed to be a performance from the head judges during the final of the show.
Fans were quick to take to social media to express their excitement at the announcement, with many saying they had been hoping for this news!
However, a few seemed a bit confused, thinking that the Olympic gold medalists would be competing AGAINST the celebrities in the final. One user said, 'Torvill & Dean just announced that they're going to be skating on the #DancingOnIce final... bit unfair on the other finalists 🙄', with another saying, 'Yay Torvill and Dean are gonna skate at the final!! #DancingOnIce'.
Another user asked why it had taken them so long to get on the ice.
'Anyone else surprised it has taken this long for ITV to insure Torvill and Dean to go on the ice? They're skaters! Getting them on the ice should be a no-brainer! #DancingOnIce', he tweeted.
Although we have yet to hear what Torvill and Dean will be skating to, many are speculating it will be their infamous 'Boléro'. Competing at the Winter Olympics back in 1984, Torvill and Dean performed to the 'Boléro' for which they won a gold medal. They also received the highest score for figure skaters of all time for a single programme!
In other Dancing On Ice news, yesterday there was a double elimination which saw Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton and former Byker Grove star Donna Air leave the show. This was despite Donna getting a score of 26.
