EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite reveals her mum has sadly died in touching message

EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed to fans that her mum sadly passed away three weeks ago.
Announcing the sad news on her Instagram page, Tamzin, who plays the role of Mel Owen in EastEnders, revealed her mum's passing was very sudden. She wrote, 'These two beauties @jakeycakeyy @keswicko and I Lost our beautiful mum 3 weeks ago today, suddenly .....THE best mum ever ❤'. sic
The actress then shared a photo of her mum with a very touching message which read, 'R.I.P Anna Patricia Santi. So lucky to have you as my mum. What an incredible human you were. Thank you Mum. You taught me how to live and you continue to teach me ..' sic
Fans of the 47-year-old were quick to send messages of condolence to Tamzin. Commenting on her Instagram photos, one fan wrote, 'Sending you loads of love Xx', with another adding, 'Love to you and your family sweetie x'. sic
Another then wrote, 'Condolences. Lost my mum and I k ow how you feel 😞💔'. sic
Tamzin was very close to her mum and often spoke about her in interviews, admitting how much she's helped her raise her own children, Marnie and Florence.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror ahead of Mother's Day a few years ago, Tamzin said, "I’d like to do something with my mum because she has been amazing recently with child care and helping me out. It will be lovely to do something with her and make it a bit special this year."
Earlier this year, Tamzin returned to her role on EastEnders as her character Mel Owen after almost 16 years away from the show.
After leaving the soap in 2002, Tamzin went on to appear in a number of TV shows, including Hotel Babylon and New Tricks, but more recently she has been performing in London's West End. The actress has been treading the boards of shows such as Stepping Out and Sweet Charity.
