How did Paddy McGuinness meet his wife Christine?

Paddy met Christine in 2007 while she was modelling for a Liverpool-based boutique, Cricket. Speaking to ECHO about meeting her husband, the model laughed, “He was supposed to be watching the tennis, but I think he was really more interested in the fashion show. We had a mutual friend there who introduced us but I can’t say I was starstruck – I’d never seen him on anything.”

She then continued, “I knew who Peter Kay was, obviously, and I’d heard of Max & Paddy, but I didn’t realise it was him. He made me laugh, though, he is quite a charmer and we just clicked.”

When did Paddy McGuinness marry his wife?

Paddy popped the question on Christmas Day back in 2009, with the couple tying the knot two years later in 2011.

Describing the engagement, she said, “We were sitting in our pyjamas by the fire and I’d noticed during the day that he didn’t seem quite himself. I remember saying to him a couple of times ‘what’s wrong?’ but obviously I know now.” Very sweet!

The big day took place at Thornton Manor, in Wirral, in June 2011.

How many children do Paddy McGuinness and his wife have?

Christine gave birth to twins, Leo and Penelope, in 2013, and later gave birth to their third child, Felicity Rose, in 2016.

The pair now currently have three children.

Christine shuts down rumours about Paddy McGuinness

Back in June 2020, reports broke that Paddy McGuinness had been involved in a serious crash whilst filming for the upcoming series of Top Gear. With reports of the severity of the crash running wild, Christine took to Instagram to shut down the rumours that he 'cheated death'.

The presenter had crashed a £250k Lamborghini while filming for BBC's Top Gear on 16th June, sparking rumours that he was seriously injured, however his wife claimed the reports were hugely exaggerated.

Shutting down the disturbing rumours, Christine shared a loved-up pic of the pair, writing: 'I’ll keep this short and sweet 😊Mr Mc is absolutely fine! The headlines about my husband today are very exaggerated. Saying he “cheats death” “almost dies” “narrowly avoids death” etc.. 🤷‍♀️'

She continued: 'As far as I’m aware this was a minor incident and he’s absolutely fine, the lambo got it much more than he did! People are dying all over the world, please don’t worry his family, his friends and his fans. He’s all good ❤️'.

Fans were relieved to hear the news, with one commenting: 'Very glad to hear all is ok and not the lies that were Published :)', and another writing: 'So pleased 💗💗'.

The 46-year-old presenter also took to his own Instagram to give his fans an update on what had happened, and rounded off by joking: "Right, I'm gonna have a cup of tea now, a paracetamol and a little cry."
