Nadine Mulkerrin, who plays Cleo McQueen in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, took to Instagram to announce that she’s expecting her first child with co-star and real-life fiancé Rory Douglas-Speed who plays Joel Dexter.

The actress posted a sweet snap to her Instagram feed ahead of this weekend’s British Soap Awards to confirm she was five-months pregnant.

Clearly delighted with their news, Nadine, 25, captioned the snap, “That's us three ready for the @thebritishsoapawards.”

The post was also shared on Hollyoaks’ official Instagram account with the caption “BEST. NEWS. EVER.”

The star later showed off her blossoming bump on the red carpet of the British Soap Awards.

Taking to the red carpet, Nadine wore a semi-sheer shoulder-less floor-length gown by Nadine Merabi that accentuated her growing pregnancy tummy. The actress – who announced her engagement in December 2018 - shared a kiss with her husband to be on the red carpet as they celebrated the news.
