Real-life Hollyoaks couple announce they are expecting first baby

Former Hollyoaks stars Daisy Wood-Davis and Luke Jerdy have announced the lovely news that they are expecting their first child together!
The couple, who met on the hit Channel 4 soap whilst playing the roles of Kim Butterfield and Jesse Donovan, announced their baby news on social media, with Daisy revealing she's now 19 weeks pregnant.
Sharing a snap of the pair holding up a baby scan, Daisy wrote on Instagram: 'We have been keeping the biggest (smallest) secret of our lives! We couldn’t let Covid get in the way of any more of our plans so instead of saying ‘I do’ this year, we’ve been growing and preparing for our precious baby son or daughter (still can’t believe those words are coming out of my mouth!) ❤️ Cannot wait to tell you all more about our journey so far ❤️ #19weekspregnant #nearlyhalfwaythere #dueoct2021' (sic)
Luke, who left Hollyoaks in January 2020, shared the same images with the caption: 'Just call us Mum and Dad.' (sic)
The couple's former co-stars were quick to comment on the cute posts. Anna Passey, who plays the role of Sienna Blake, commented: 'Just lovely ❤️ congratulations guys xx', with Cleo McQueen actress Nadine Rose Mulkerrin adding: '❤️❤️❤️ Reggie can’t wait for his buddy to arrive'. (sic)
Nikki Sanderson (Maxine Minniver) then commented: 'Amazing!! Congratulations ❤️❤️', with Ross Adams (Scott Drinkwell) writing: 'Huge congratulations. ❤️ x' (sic)

Showing off her ring, Daisy, who left Hollyoaks in November 2018, wrote: 'On Thursday evening @lukejerdy asked me to marry him by the beach in front of my family. I’ve never felt a happiness like this. It’s so surreal but nothing has ever felt more natural. I can’t wait to marry my best friend and celebrate how lucky we are to have found what we have. Not to mention, he designed me the engagement ring of my DREAMS. I have spent the last few days staring lovingly at him and the ring in equal measure (maybe more the ring 😜) Let the celebrations commence! 💍❤'. (sic)
