“Will my pass let me in? Or have I been sacked?”

It’s well-established by now that Love Island can be a ticket to fame and fortune, with the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Wes Nelson and Maura Higgins all going on to HUGE careers after appearing on the ITV2 dating show. But while there are many Islanders who make the most of the post-villa opportunities they get offered, there are some who choose to turn their back on a showbiz career.
A few weeks on from the end of series seven, Casa Amor girl Georgia Townend has done exactly that as she’s revealed she’s gone back to her day job.
The 28-year-old went back to work for the first time since leaving to enter the villa as a bombshell and joked that she might have got the sack.
Filming herself in the car as she arrived at the office, Georgia said: “Will my pass let me in? Or have I been sacked?
“Yaaay, it's let me in. Made it to work, but can I make it through the day, that's the real question."
After being inundated with questions from her followers, Georgia later explained what she did for a living.
She said: “My degree was in food and nutrition so that is my passion project, that’s always been my area of expertise. During my degree, I did a placement year and I worked in food manufacturing, which I really enjoyed, but I knew when I graduated I wanted to move retail side because for me, the joy comes out of bringing end product to customer.
“I joined Lidl on the graduate scheme about six years ago. Obviously, I’m not on the graduate scheme anymore, I’m a fully-fledged employee and my role is in a marketing function.”
Good on her! 🙌
