Liam Payne gushes over his girlfriend Cheryl in candid interview

Liam Payne and Cheryl shocked fans last year when they revealed they were dating, and now with a baby on the way, Liam has been gushing about his girlfriend with the cutest words.

The 23-year admitted he's had a crush on Cheryl since he was younger and always saw her as his 'dream girl'.

Admitting he feels like he's living out his dream, Liam told Rollercoaster Magazine, "This is the thing. In a non-cliché way, it’s weird waking up every day and literally living out your dream. You wake up in the most beautiful places."

The singer then went on to gush about Cheryl when he said, "Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world and she’s absolutely amazing. She’s been my dream girl since I was younger. She’s so ace. ... She is a wonderful, wonderful person and it’s amazing to have someone who can relate to so much of things, someone who’s taken greater steps than me."

It's not just Cheryl's looks and personality Liam loves, he also told the publication how he's super proud of her achievements in her career.

Despite Liam being part of the biggest boyband in the world, it seems he's grateful to be with somebody who's also experienced a similar situation in the spotlight.

Before enjoying a successful solo career with hits such as 'Fight For This Love' and 'Call My Name', she played sold out shows and topped the charts with Girls Aloud after winning Popstars: The Rivals way back in 2002.

Liam admitted he thinks Cheryl is 'wonderful' and feels they can relate to each other.

Commenting on Cheryl's career, he said, "Her solo career was amazing. She’s been in the industry for fourteen years now. She fully supports me."

After dating for just over a year, the pair have a baby on the way with reports suggesting Cheryl is about to give birth any minute.

Speaking candidly for the first time about his family life, 23-year-old Liam revealed it's a very 'personal' and 'precious' time for the pair and admitted he's still learning due to his young age. He said, "We’re super happy. It’s a very personal, precious time for us. I’m still learning. I’m only 23."

Liam and Cheryl first met way back in 2008 when Liam auditioned in front of her during his stint on The X Factor.

Roll the clock forward eight years and Liam, 23 and Cheryl, 33, confirmed they were dating when Liam shared a cute snap of the pair looking loved up to his Instagram.

Since then, both parties haven't been shy in sharing snaps on social media and the pair have attended a small number of public events together.

Baby Chiam is expected to arrive any minute now, with leaked documents on Twitter revealing the couple will announce the news 'within a reasonable period of time' when they are ready.
