The news that Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West were expecting their fourth child together broke around the New Year. Although many fans of the couple shrugged it off as speculation - after all, the family only welcomed Chicago a year ago - the rumours persisted, with news that the baby was a little boy.

However, Kim herself has now confirmed the news that they're expecting a little baby boy, saying that he is due "sometime soon" in an interview on a US talk show with her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Kim confirmed that they were expecting a baby boy, saying, "I think it's been out there."

But whilst reports normally come from someone close to the family, this time it was actually Kim who let slip that the baby was on its way, saying, "I got drunk at our Christmas Eve party and told some people. I can't remember who I told because I never get drunk."

Although Kim was able to carry her first two children, five-year-old daughter North and three-year-old son Saint, she suffered from life-threatening condition placenta accreta, which can cause severe blood loss after the baby is born.

In order to have one-year-old daughter Chicago, Kim and Kanye sought help from a surrogate mother - and whilst some reports have said that they are using the same surrogate to have their fourth child, TMZ report that they are having a different surrogate mother this time around.

This is thought to be due to the fact that she has reportedly just given birth to her own child at Christmas.
