She's one of the most bad-ass actresses around right now, portraying the amazing role of Russian assassin Villanelle in hit BBC series Killing Eve, but it sounds like Scouse actress Jodie Comer has been made very aware of the dark side of social media.

The 27-year-old, who has been rumoured to be dating One Direction singer Niall Horan, has revealed she's taken a step back from social media, until she learns to get some 'self control' and not seek out the negative trolling.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Jodie said, "Until I get some self-control and manage not to go and seek out negative things on social media, I think it's best for me to take a little step back."

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic across the world, Jodie also admitted she is very conscious right now about the content she is posting out to her fans.

She added, "It feels a bit wrong to me to be doing any sort of self-promotion at the moment, so I'm trying to be a little bit wary of that, while also being communicative and speaking to people. It's something I'm figuring out - it's a tricky thing."
