2020 was the first year in over 15 years that The X Factor didn't appear on our TV screens, with Simon Cowell making the decision to give the format a break following a number of spin-off series in 2019.

He said in 2019: "I thought, since it is 2020, a new decade, we have to rest it for a year.

“We have to come back with a show that is relevant, different, a show that takes into account all the different things kids are watching and being influenced by."

It's understood the show has been postponed again due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, but it is expected to return next year, so will we see Jesy on the panel?

Another famous face rumoured to appear is Cheryl, who of course was a much-loved judge on the show between 2008-2010 and later in 2014-2015.

As well as making her social media comeback earlier this week, following a year's absence, a source told The Mirror: “Cheryl is still very much in the Cowell fold. She trusts him and he enjoys working with her. He brought her back on TV with The Greatest Dancer and could do the same with the new series of X Factor.”
