Jeremy Clarkson completes last ever lap of the Top Gear track - PHOTO
It's the end of an era for the host
It is truly the end of an era for Jeremy Clarkson after he completed his last ever lap of the Top Gear track yesterday.
The former host, who has been replaced by Chris Evans, shared a photo of himself looking extremely sombre and standing in front of a Mercedes and two Ferrari supercars.
He told his 5million followers: “Right. About to do my last ever lap of the Top Gear test track. What car should I use?”
A couple of hours later, Jeremy tweeted: “My last ever lap of the Top Gear track is done. Bit sad leaving the place for the final time.
“2 good things about the last lap. It raised a load of cash for a good cause. And I did the mother** of all tail slides through Chicago.”
Jeremy exited the immensely popular car show after a quarter of a century earlier this year following a bust-up with a production member.
His side-kicks Richard Hammond and James May confirmed they wouldn’t be returning soon after Jeremy’s departure with the BBC drafting in Chris Evans to helm the show.
It’s not yet know who will be joining the TFI presenter on the new incarnation of Top Gear.
