Harry Styles has opened up about the possibility of One Direction reuniting in the future - and fans could NOT be more excited. The band, who rose to fame after making the final of The X Factor in 2010, went on an indefinite hiatus in January 2016, leaving their legions of loyal fans devastated.

Whilst Harry, along with his former bandmates - Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik - have all gone on to achieve amazing things as solo artists, their fans are always hoping to hear about when they'd be willing to get back together.

So Harry's recent interview with Rolling Stone will come as music to their ears, as Harry has opened up about the possibility of the band getting back together.

He told the publication, "I don't think I'd ever say I'd never do it again, because I don't feel that way. If there's a time when we all really want to do it, that's the only time for us to do it, because I don't think it should be about anything else other than the fact that we're all like, 'Hey, this was really fun. We should do this again.'"

He also spoke about his friendships with the other 1D-ers, saying, "I think even in the disagreements, there's always a mutual respect for each other – we did this really cool thing together, and we'll always have that."

The 25-year-old, who released his self-titled debut album in 2017, added that the band was "too important" to him to ever think of it as being "done", but stressed that it needed to happen for "the right reasons".

He also discussed how people from boybands move on from it, saying, "I know it's the thing that always happens. When somebody gets out of a band, they go, 'That wasn't me. I was held back.'

"But it was me. And I don't feel like I was held back at all. It was so much fun. If I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't have done it. It's not like I was tied to a radiator."
