Ed Sheeran shares hilarious photos posing next to his Russian alter ego
The giant statue was to mark his first show in the country
Remember last week when we reported on the giant Ed Sheeran statue that had appeared outside Gorky Park, ahead of his first performance in the country? Well now Ed Sheeran has posted photos of himself visiting his Russian alter ego and he looks very happy next to it.
Posting a series of photos of himself next to the five metre long statue, Ed wrote on Instagram, 'Went to go and see ma statue in Moscow today'. In the photos, the 'Castle On The Hill' singer can be seen doing the same pose in front of the statue, posing for a selfie, writing on his face with a marker pen, and lying on top of the giant statue.
In just a day, Ed's photos have had more than 1 million likes on Instagram, with celebrities and fans commenting. Jason Derulo said, 'Ahhh this is crazy ha 😂', whilst another fan said, 'Way too cute'.
Ed Sheeran's famous security guard Kev also posed alongside the statue, posting a photo on Instagram, captioning it, 'The only time I let bae be the big spoon'. The bodyguard, who became an Internet sensation last year, can be seen lying down in front of the giant statue, wearing all black, copying the singer's pose.
