Alex met up with brothers Guy and Howard who form Disclosure to discuss the origins of their name, their hectic festival schedule for the year and their new single featuring Eliza Doolittle, You & Me. Alex asked how the guys got their name, Disclosure. "Oh that's a bad story. Basically when we started we made a couple of dance tunes and put them on Myspace - that's how long ago that was! It was during that Myspace making process that we thought we should probably think of a name and there was a stack of forms next to my laptop like car insurance stuff and they said 'Terms of disclosure' on there so I thought that'll do!", Guy said. "People ask us is it anything to do with aliens or telling people about UFOs and we're like '...nah'." Howard added. When Alex asked the guys if they're the kind of brothers who fight, Howard said, "Nah, everyone who interviews us wants us to fight because then they can say 'What do you fight about?' but we don't fight! We're just like friends really, we're not that brotherly." The brothers have got some great artists featuring on their album, including Eliza Doolittle on their latest single You & Me, so Alex asked how they managed to attract those talents. "Well every feature happened a different way. Some of them are just friends of friends, like Sam Smith. AlunaGeorge happened because they were supporting us on tour and we were friends through that and we listened to their music on the radio because it's getting played a lot." they said. Specifically on Eliza Doolittle, Howard said, "I was a big fan of her album a couple of years ago when it came out and I pitched it to Guy and to my management and they were like 'What? Why?' and then we did the song and they all kind of fell on their swords a bit!" Speaking about how they involve the singers with the music making process, Guy said, "We do write all the music and produce and mix it all ourselves. But we make sure they're there for a lot of it otherwise you're just putting someone on a song and they might not even feel it." Shedding some light on the guys' family background, Guy said, "Our mum sang a lot of radio jingles and she was in function bands doing covers and was on cruise ships whereas our dad was in a prog-rock band touring round Canada for a while. Our whole family has been professional musicians so they understand what we're doing so they don't tell us to get a real job so it's worked out really well for us."
