When we got older, we both ended up doing Dancing with the Stars in Ireland and got into a relationship.

His celebrity partner Holly Carpenter revealed that the pair were both single, saying, "I’m so glad that we are single doing this because I’d hate if I had a boyfriend and there were rumours that I was flirting with him. I’m actually really happy we both won’t have to worry about that."

"I have lived a very sheltered life because of my dancing, I’ve not done a lot of going out partying, going on dates because I haven’t had time to. "I have never met anyone online, I’ve never used a dating app. I’ve met everyone in person, which I think is better. All of this meeting people on social media and apps is fake. People portray their life how they want it to be and it isn’t how they truly are. I like to meet people in real life."

A spokesman for the brothers told Mirror Online, "AJ and Curtis were assaulted whilst on a night out with two friends on the 27 December 2018 in an unprovoked attack in Nantwich, Cheshire.

"Curtis is due to undergo an emergency operation in the next few days to correct the damages he has sustained to his knee, he is also recovering from injuries to his eye and face. AJ received bruising to his face, arms, body and legs. Statements have been given to Cheshire Police and they are currently undergoing an investigation."

Unsurprisingly, this reportedly left AJ "afraid to leave the house", and AJ then revealed exactly what happened in an interview on New Year's Eve, "Curtis risked his own dancing career to save mine as he threw himself in front of the attackers so they couldn’t get to me.

"He was thinking of both my dancing career with my legs and my TV career with my face. He tried to protect me and in doing so saved my life and my legs from danger. I soon realised there were no winners in this scenario. I just wanted us both to come out alive. I care more about Curtis than I do about selfies and looking good."

Curtis added, "It could have been fatal" before explaining, "There were about eight lads on two of us and we’re not fighters. We’re not there for a fight. We don’t want to cause trouble.

"We were just minding our own business, then all of a sudden there was a load of lads around us. I just felt a hard, violent push on my left side, as if someone had lunged at me, and that’s when it all kicked off."

The brothers then appeared on This Morning on 2nd January 2019, and Curtis explained what they thought made the culprits attack, "I can only say it was maybe jealousy. AJ was getting photos from people," as AJ agreed, "Doing our TV show, Strictly, it's always so positive. It's never a negative light. The sad thing in this case - if someone comes up for a photo politely I will always say 'yes'.

"It made me very self aware of putting myself in a scenario with larger crowds. I'm doing with tour with Strictly. It will make me think twice."

Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard: SPLIT

After Amy Hart left the villa due to getting her heart broken by Curtis, Irish beauty Maura wasted no time in expressing her feelings for the ballroom dancer.
Curtis chose to couple up with Maura and the pair made it all the way to the final, despite viewers thinking Maura was 'faking' her feelings for him.

At the beginning of March 2020, Maura and Curtis announced their split, with Maura admitting things just didn't work out.

Chris Taylor and Maura Higgins: SPLIT

Months after her split from Curtis, Maura Higgins and her BFF Chris Taylor announced they were dating, after weeks of speculation. The pair posted a cute snap together whilst in Dubai, with Chris telling fans he's fallen in love with his bestie.

Sadly, in May 2021 the pair announced that they had split, following a 'mutual decision'.

Greg denied dumping Amber by text just five weeks after Love Island, but the pair have officially called it quits.

Greg has reportedly since moved on from Amber with athlete Emma Canning, but neither pair have confirmed their romance.

India Reynolds and Ovie Soko: SPLIT

It looked like Ovie wasn't going to find 'the one' during his time in the villa... That was until India entered with just two weeks to go.

However, the pair have now split.

Belle Hassan and Anton Danyluk: SPLIT

Belle and Anton couldn't last on the outside world. However, it was rumoured the pair were still seeing each other. Anton has since said their relationship status is "complicated."

Jourdan Riane and Danny Williams: SPLIT

He cracked on with both Yewande and Arabella, but it was model Jourdan that really caught the eye of Danny. Since the pair were dumped from the villa together, they were inseparable, attending a number of events.

However, it wasn't to last, as the pair have now split up after Jourdan suggested Danny was "disloyal." Danny has denied cheating on Jourdan.

Harley Brash and Chris Taylor: SPLIT

Despite not knowing each other for every long, Harley and Chris left the villa together, and they later confirmed to Caroline Flack on Aftersun that they are 'dating'.

However, just one month later, Chris and Harley were the first couple from the 2019 series to announce their split, admitting they've just not had the time to get to know each other.

Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer: SPLIT

Dani released a statement via Instagram Stories announcing the winning 2018 couple had SPLIT, before they got back together and announced a second break-up for good on April 3rd 2019.

Jack has also become a father to a beautiful baby girl.

Zara and Adam defied the odds for a number of months, however, the pair announced they'd split on Valentine's Day in 2019!

You know how this one went. Sam accused Georgia of cheating on him with her ex, which she denied. It's safe to say they didn't split on the best of terms.

Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson: SPLIT

The loved-up pair now have two children together!

Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow: MARRIED

An absolute success story of Love Island 2017, Jamie and Camilla are still the CUTEST of couples.

In May 2020, Jamie and Camilla announced that they were expecting their first child, with their adorable daughter, Nell Sophia Jewitt, being born in October. As if the pair couldn't get any cuter, they announced in February 2021 that they are engaged.

In September 2021, Jamie and Camilla got married and welcomed their second daughter in May 2022. In December 2023, the pair announced they are expecting their third child together!

Remember when they, like, got engaged on the show? That one didn't quite last...

In 2024, Hannah joined the All Stars series.

He did date fellow Love Island-er Emma-Jane Woodhams eight months in actual real life before calling it a day.

In June 2022, the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy called Abel Jacob Bowen.

Jessica Hayes and Max Morley: SPLIT

These two split up not long after leaving the villa. Whilst Max has more or less kept himself out of the spotlight, Jess welcomed a baby boy in June 2019, and in November 2022 announced she's now engaged to boyfriend Zeb.

Absolutely DID NOT work IRL. Neeext.
