Alex James talked collaborations, albums and acting, with Conor Maynard
Conor is set to release his second album, after topping the charts with his first album Contrast. He says it’s been a challenge following on from that. “There is a lot of pressure, going in from first album in to second album. It’s scary considering the first album went to number one, you can’t really beat that.
"It’s definitely been fun working on it, I’m still working on it now trying to get it all finished up. I’m trying to figure out the new direction, where do I want to go with it, what kind of music do I want to release for it.”
Talking about collaborations, Conor says he now has more influence on who will feature on this album, “That bond between artist and label grows as you do more albums and there’s more belief and trust. This album will have more of my input.
”Labrinth produced the first single, R U Crazy. Working with him was cool, he was very inspiring, very dedicated. He will push you to your limits. He will punch you, he will hurt you, he will make you cry!"
Conor also talks about wanting to do more acting in the future after his work on Dream Team as a child.
