Cheryl reveals what advice she'd give her teenage self

She shot to fame in 2002

Cheryl was catapulted to fame back in 2002 when she auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals and landed a place in Girls Aloud, and since then things certainly haven't slowed down! After achieving major success in the band, Cheryl went on to become a X Factor judge and she's stormed the charts with her own solo material.

Despite her fame, Cheryl has been the victim of some harsh online abuse and she's no stranger to drama. So when the 35-year-old performed in Manchester over the weekend, we were keen to find out what advice she'd give to her teenage self.

Speaking to Sarah-Jane Crawford, Cheryl, who released her comeback single 'Love Made Me Do It' in November, said, "I think just power through. Be strong, be determined and you'll be OK."

Of course we couldn't let Cheryl leave without asking about her adorable little son Bear. Revealing she thinks Christmas is going to very 'cute' this year due to his age, Cheryl said she can't wait to spend quality time with her family.

It sounds like the former Girls Aloud singer is LOVING life as a mum. She said, "It enriches you, it changes you as a person. I understand so much more now about motherhood and women. We are awesome, we are amazing what we can achieve with our bodies and how you click into motherhood when you have a child."
