Love Island fans across the country were sent into overdrive last week when new reports suggested that series four contestant Alexandra Cane was dating series two star Rykard Jenkins!

HOWEVER, just as we were planning our wedding outfit for their big day, Alexandra has shut down the rumours, admitting she's 100% single. Taking to Twitter, Alexandra wrote, 'Seems like every guy I’m pictured next to is a “love interest”... Can a male and female not just be friends? 😩🤷🏻‍♀️'. sic

The reality star, who dated Dr Alex George on Love Island in the summer of 2018, then re-shared a tweet from December where she wrote, 'Current status: extremely single.'

Rumours of a potential romance between Alexandra and Rykard first started when a source said, "Alexandra and Rykard have been quietly interested in each other for a long time. He went on Love Island and sacrificed his place on the series to be with Rachel Fenton so Alexandra was off-limits for a few years.

"But they’ve reconnected again since Alexandra was on the show too and there’s no denying their chemistry together – they've been close friends for a while now. They were seen kissing as they partied and looked very much like a couple."

However, it's now clear that the pair are just friends!

Meanwhile, Alexandra's ex-boyfriend, Dr Alex George, went official with his new girlfriend over the festive period. Sharing a cute photo of the pair together on Instagram, Dr Alex wrote, 'The person I would like to couple up with is....' sic

CUTE! 😍😍😍
