As we near one of the biggest dates in the film industry, the Academy Awards, fondly know as the Oscars, a second wave of presenters have been announced. Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and her former co-star Jason Momoa have been confirmed to take to the stage in Hollywood, to present an award on the night after Kevin Hart dropped out last year.

Other names announced alongside Emilia and Jason include, Javier Bardem, Angela Bassett, Chadwick Boseman, Laura Dern, Samuel L. Jackson, Stephan James, Keegan-Michael Key, KiKi Layne, James McAvoy, Melissa McCarthy and Sarah Paulson.

Previously announced Oscars presenters were Awkwafina, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Tina Fey, Allison Janney, Brie Larson, Jennifer Lopez, Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman, Amy Poehler, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, Amandla Stenberg, Charlize Theron, Tessa Thompson and Constance Wu.

The announcement of the new presenters comes as Deadline.com reveals that some of the Oscars will actually be awarded during TV commercial breaks, however those watching the live stream will still be able to see the awards being given.

Deadline.com report that in a letter from the Academy president John Bailey, he has confirmed that awards for Best Cinematography, Live Action Short, Film Editing, and Make-up and Hairstyling, will be presented during the 'commercial breaks, with their winning speeches aired later in the broadcast.'

The Oscars nominations were announced last month, and sees huge films Bohemian Rhapsody and Black Panther lead the nominations. See the full list below.

After contributing to Elton John's tribute album with a cover of 'Your Song', Gaga starred in the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born as Ally, with Bradley Cooper playing her love interest Jackson Maine. She was nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, and the film's lead song 'Shallow' - which she wrote with Mark Ronson - received many nominations at all the big awards ceremonies.
