Newtonmore and Lochaber vie for honours at Bught Park
The 2016 RBS MacTavish Cup Final takes place on Saturday the 11th of June at the Bught Park, Inverness. The MacTavish Cup is the North of Scotland knock-out cup competition, first played for in 1898, and represents the first senior silverware of the 2016 shinty season.
Contesting the final are Newtonmore and Lochaber. Newtonmore have won the MacTavish Cup more times than any other club.
Brian MacDonald is Lochaber captain:- Here's their vice-skipper Rory Kennedy:- The match starts at 4pm and prior to the senior final the RBS MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final will take place on the main field at 1pm between Skye and Fort William. Gates open at midday, tickets cost £10 for Adults, £5 for Concessions and Under 12s go free.
