Two teenagers killed in crash

A 16 year old girl and an 18 year old boy have died in a road accident near Culloden

Two teenagers have died following a car crash on the B9006 near Culloden.

It happened at 6.50pm yesterday evening at Sunnyside The road was closed last night whilst officers carried out an investigation into the accident involving a black Vauxhall Corsa car and a white Mercedes C Class car. A 16 year old female passenger in the Vauxhall died at the scene - three other occupants were taken to Raigmore Hospital where an 18 year old male passenger died of his injuries. The 19 year old male driver of the Corsa and and a second16 year old female passenger remain in Raigmore Hospital where they're getting treatment for serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the Mercedes car were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment and later discharged with no serious injuries. The road was closed for some time to allow collision investigation work to be carried out. The road has since re-opened. Investigations into the incident are ongoing and officers appeal to anyone who was travelling on the B9006 before or at the time of the collision and who may have seen either vehicle, to contact Police Scotland on 101.
