Missing Hillwalker Search Suspended
Efforts to trace a hillwalker missing in the Highlands have been called off because of bad weather.
The search for a missing hillwalker has been suspended due to poor weather conditions.
Eric Cyl, 62, was last seen heading off into the Mamore mountain range near Fort William in the Highlands on Saturday morning.
Police were alerted when the experienced walker from England had not returned by 8pm.
The RAF mountain rescue team, Lochaber mountain rescue and search and rescue dogs continued the hunt for Mr Cyl today but difficult weather conditions saw the operation suspended at around 4pm.
Mr Cyl, who was walking alone in an area known as Ring of Steall, was last seen wearing a light grey jacket and dark trousers. He was carrying two walking poles.
Police appealed for anyone who saw Mr Cyl in the region on Saturday to contact them.
