Local volunteers have rejoined the search for a man who went missing after a dance, as concerns grow for his well-being.
Lachlan Simpson, 21, was last seen leaving the Dornoch show dance at 1.30am on Sunday.
More than 90 volunteers joined police officers, search and rescue dogs, the coastguard and an RAF mountain rescue team to search the area today.
The Police Scotland helicopter has also been helping with search efforts.
More than 160 volunteers turned out in Dornoch last night to look for the man from the nearby village of Embo.
He is described as 6ft, of slim/medium build with short fair hair and was wearing a green and white top.
Chief Inspector Colin Gough said: Police and partners are very grateful to everyone who has assisted with the search for Lachlan so far.''
He added: We would again urge local residents to continue to search gardens, outbuildings and sheds for anything that may assist search efforts.
As time passes we are becoming increasingly anxious for Lachlan's well-being but are committed to utilising all resources available to us, in conjunction with the tremendous effort from the local community, to locate him as soon as possible.''
Anyone with information on Mr Simpson's movements over the weekend should contact police on 101.
