One Direction Working With The 1975

One Direction will be writing new music with The 1975 for their fourth studio album.

It has been confirmed that The 1975 frontman, Matthew Healy, is currently in the process of writing a song for boyband, One Direction.

The rumours have been confirmed by Healy's mother and television personality, Denise Welch.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Welch admitted that her son was helping the 1D boys with the upcoming studio album which is expected this Autumn. The Loose Women presenter said:

"He's writing a song for them. I'm friends with Harry Styles's Mum, Anne. I always know when she's tweeted me because I've got 27,000 of the 1D Army and The 1975 Army on my timelines and they go into meltdown."

This news comes only days after OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder, also confirmed that has also been collaborating with One Direction.

Tedder and Healy are on a long list of collaborators helping the boys put together their highly anticipated fourth studio album. The songwriters will be credited among other big names such as Pharrell, Kodaline, McBusted, and Good Charlotte.
